Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge, hotel in Canmore

Featuring a hot tub and sauna, this Canmore hotel is only 5 minutes' drive from Banff National Park. Mountain views and a flat-screen TV are provided in every guest room.

The location is spot on. This is one of my favorite places. The housekeeping staff are the most beautifully kind people, ever. The front desk staff are also very friendly. There is no other place in Canmore where you will get this kind of value for your money. Every other place in Canmore is exceedingly over priced to the point of gauging. Free parking, kitchen facilities, great location...it's definitely not hidden but it sure is a gem!

I most liked the mountains. We always eat at CommuniTea. All tourist towns should have free parking. Since Canmore took away most of the free parking and turned it into paid we do not visit anywhere near the amount we use to. Canmore was our 'go to' instead of Banff. (Horrible parking there) We also live in a tourist town and our parking is free. the tourists are way less aggressive with their driving. Also having to use a electronic device on a machine to park is nasty. Very invasive

Beautiful area with lots of options for outdoor adventurers and foodies alike. Cute little downtown with lots of shops and places to eat. Nice little bubble tea spot, and enjoyed eating at a place called Iron Goat. I like that it is quieter and less touristy than Banff (just a 15-ish minute drive away). My friend loved hiking Ha Ling a year earlier, and we loved East End of Rundle this year. Grassi Lakes is an easy and beautiful hike too. Climbing spots like Grotto Canyon are cool, there's even a climb around some pictographs which is really neat. A friend got married in late April at Silvertip Resort in Canmore, it was a beautiful set up with mountains in the background for the ceremony, and a cute rustic cabin-y feel for the reception inside. Would recommend Canmore to anyone. :)

Canmore has everything one needs for enjoyment and necessities. It is close to both Banff and Kananaskis Country for skiing, shopping, biking, hiking, lots of dining options, historical sites…and more. There is something for everyone! If you like being independent, opportunities for self-guided activities abound. If you want guided tours, there is everything from dog sledding to heli-tours, rafting to mountain biking…hiking to yoga. It’s the best value for the money spent! And the scenery is unbeatable.

Canmore is a great little town right in the heart of the rockies. It is very close to Banff, without the cost of staying right in Banff. It is close to many outdoor activities for both summer and winter. Both Lake Louise and Sunshine Village ski resorts are within an hour. There are lots of hiking opportunities with some even starting in town. We have enjoyed many of the local restaurants, and there is a lot of variety to please any palate. While it can sometimes get busy, it is easy to get around and easily walkable for most people.

The condo had lots of room. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and cookware to make any of our meals. There is a bbq right on the patio that we made use of. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever had in a condo/hotel. Check in/check out was fast and easy with very courteous staff. The outdoor heated pool and hot tub were a unique experience in the winter.

The staff were all really friendly and helpful. They fixed anything that broke right away. The cabin, although old, was clean, comfortable and had plenty of cooking utensils. The location is great, 5 mins from Canmore and 20 from Banff. It makes you feel like you're camping with the luxury of a bed. It's also the cheapest place in the region. I would recommend it if you're after a more basic experience for a good price.

Room was very clean and had a nice, modern washroom. The staff were very friendly and the pool and hot tub were quite comfortable, with a nice view of the mountains. The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes drive away from the downtown core of Canmore, which is nice, and the fact that it is near the railway tracks is no problem at all, the walls are as if soundproof!

The hotel was conveniently located in Canmore right across the street from a couple great restaurants. The beds were amazingly comfortable. It is close to the train tracks but I found the hotel was well insulated and I hardly even heard them. I slept so well in this cosy room! They also offered a grab and go breakfast which was awesome to take with us as we travelled .

Check-in was fast and easy, the room could be accessed right from the outside, which was convenient as we were travelling with a dog. The hotel staff kindly allowed us to leave our car in a vacant spot inside the court-yard for a few hours after our check-out while we spent some time exploring Canmore itself.
