The Crown and Cushion Appleby is situated in the market square in the centre of Appleby and features a restaurant, tea-room and bar. A charming pub hotel with lovely staff, very dog friendly. Couldn't recommend more.

We stayed here for 11 nights. We have enjoyed the area; discovered the nature reserves along the coast line, the mosses and the hills and lakes of the closeby Lake District. The variation of landscapes in one area is unique. Every day we started with a tradional English breakfast and finished most days with a beer in the pub. There is an enclosed car-park as you need a car around here. There is wide range of restaurants in the city center. Lynn and Jim are enjoying running their Inn.

In un viaggio tra amici ho trovato questa struttura molto accogliente. Siamo stati accolti calorosamente e hanno fatto di tutto per aiutarci, darci delle indicazioni e metterci a nostro agio. La colazione molto buona. Ci ritornerei sicuramente.

Very spacious, clean and well equipped. Great breakfast. We also had lunch and dinner couple of times and were always very satisfied with the food and service.
